Blood N' Guts #2 Aircel, Dec 1990, b&w.
1 BG 1-2 cover Jen tells Blood not to call her Guts. Blood asks her how she can get contraband chocolate while she is on the vid phone with the Capt. Beesley is nervous that if the government has the phone tapped...Jen finishes for him, telling him they would bribe the government. Blood is eating her out of house and home. Beesley knew Jen's father and saw her grow up. Once the rich left, crime ran wild, drugs permeated the streets. Huge gangs banded together to fight the Blue Meanies and were successful for a few weeks but better armed police annihilated them. Martial law was enforced and became a way of life. Only Blue Meanies, off worlders, and government workers were allowed out after dark. And those with a lot of bribe chips. Blood tells Guts that the teddy bear who is hungry, too, is named B-Wang. Blood and Jen are behind Seibek's cloning plant. If Banshees contaminate clones that are sent out, they could contaminate the solar system (hey why can't they do that anyway?). When they fake they are police and get the door opened for them, they are hit with de-tox air from within. The guard (who has some strange mike sticking out of his suspender top) wants the clone to stay outside. Blood says, "Touch me again and I'll rip your nuts off." In Seibek's room were things Jen and Blood had never seen...plants. With Seibek and Sol (who also has protruding teeth and pug nose) are three new customers--a nerd, a slut, and a schoolboy. A gunfight erupts between the three customers, who Jen calls Screamers, and Jen and Blood. B-Wang jumps for cover, telling the bald guard to watch his back. Blood rolled and dodged. From behind a fallen shelf, Jen gave him cover. The slut, in a two piece, is shot 30 times and the Banshee in her wails. The two remaining ones try to bribe Jen. Blood says of the schoolboy, "That little tit has had it. Everyone dies!" They reload. Blood, behind being careful, dove out, past the desk cover, and shoots the little boy's head off, all with the grace of a dancer. Jen shoots the nerd who had a gun on Blood. Strange haired Seibek pulls a gun, too. Seibek sent the Banshees after them. They have offered him certain things. Seibek says of Jen figuring this out, "My!! Has our gene pool been so depleted that the Blue's have taken to hiring idiots as well as clones." A freighter, bound for Jupiter, is on the roof, filled with clones, each with a Banshee. Seibek is willingly one of them and will also kill Sol. Sol jumps him but is shot. This gives Blood time to shoot at a fleeing Seibek. With Earth's com links on the blink, they can't warn anyone. Sol tells them, "You must stop him, my children." The Freighter is a robot one. Once off, nothing can stop it. Sol has done many things...some of which were almost good. Sol was free. He was going to Disneyland. Seibek calls Robo-Con, telling them this is Seibek Vestal, Code 9164-2. Jen shoots his arm. He yells, "Shit!!" and shoots her arm. Blood yells, "Jen!!" Blood jumps over the spot-a com stand-where Seibek is hiding and kicks his face. B-Wang calls Jen toots and asks how she is. She is okay. B-Wang cannot stop the con--it is on auto. From Seibek's chest breaks a parasite monster with four arms and pointed claw at each end. Blood looks shocked and scared. It has fangs. It backs Blood into a wall. Jen tries to fire a gun, telling him to get down. Blood says, "You dummy, it's empty!" B-Wang has Blood's fallen guns and gets between Blood and Seibek's monster. He shoots the monster and Seibek. The ship takes off anyway and is on its way to Jupiter. Jen tells them they must follow.
