1 DM 1-2 cover Yuse relaxes and lets the cleansing ritual take effect. There are lots of candles on a table in front of Yuse. Chispo thought the trio left the Black Brothers behind in Canada. The cat mouse are with them. Chispo tells the story: it started at the Panama Canal for him, the people around where he lived thought he was a Brujo, evil. He hid safely on a ship headed for Sept-Iles, Quebec. He repaid the crew by secretly cleaning up things. He also wore a jacket with no shirt on beneath and cut off shorts, no shoes. The Black Brothers offered him food at their convent. Inside a van, he met Yuse who had heard the Black Brothers were famous for taking in orphans and problem kids, helping them, educating them. Inside a compound, a man checked them in, another watched them shower with each other. There were two blond, light haired kids in a square cell in the wall, another in a basement cell, another (the bottom and left side of his shirt ripped to expose his bare stomach) in a bird cage like cell hanging on a hook. There was a maze of bridge-walkways over empty space. Chispo had on velcro sneakers. They were put in a cell. Below them was Leaf in a sewer like cell (because he spat at them) which Yuse kneels next to when the pair of them cannot lift it off-and he makes it poom right off with his powers. Yuse makes it fly off away from Chispo's head. Leaf may or may not be the same boy who was in the bird cage as he looks like the same boy, is drawn like the same boy, and wears the short cut ripped shirt and same type of ripped up shorts. He has some scars and black and blue bruises on him. Leaf has calming magic which makes them less afraid. A big bald man (with a heart ear ring in his right ear) watches them on a TV screen camera. Intruders attack, dressed in head rags, berets, and guns. A disgusting hairy robed figure in leather straps and thong is shot in the face by the men. He falls near the boys' cell, dead. They get his keys and run out but a Black Brother with a knife (and a scar on the right side of his face) stops them. Yuse kicks the knife out of his hand and kraks his face with a punch. A blond raider tells the kids these cult veggies play for keeps. The raiders fire guns at the cult member. The boys run, one of them thinking, "Yuck!" The bald cult man is shot in the back of the head by the blond raider. A van nearly runs the boys down. Leaf touches a tree and asks Green father to help them. The tree bends and the van crashes. One survivor pulls a gun. Chispo asks his brother to protect them and wolves leap out at the men. The boys spent the night hiding in the forest and sleeping in the green. In the morning, Leaf suggested they combine their magic into a questing trance. The moon elements Flora, Fauna, and Crystals pointed south where they found Mongoose. Chispo shows him the computer disk. Leaf tells Mongoose that they are too dangerous to have around and better pack up and leave. Mongoose tells them all his life he knew there was magic and spent years looking for it. He wants them to stay and won't let them walk away. He puts his hands on Leaf and Chispo, "Those Black Brothers will have to kill me first to get to you." Bean bags, flowers, and plant designs grace their apartment.
