A photographer sees a bear in a toxic waste dump in the Rocky Mountains. He sees
something more horrible. On a dock, Maire sunbathes in a Vampirella bathing suit
of black. Ethan surfaces and grabs her foot. The two find they have the same love
of nature. They have a very strong physical attraction and kiss in the pond. Mark
Quay, now bald, is in a wheelchair and accidentally sees this. Kohl and Holly are
renovating and overhauling an alien spacecraft. Kam arrives in a new red and white
outfit, once a ceremonial robe. Holly's armour was destroyed in the prison barge
in space. Now, with the remaining gem, she has been able to adjust her own armour
to what Ethan once used. Mark gets into his metallic suit to get out of here. The
possibility of his dating Maire now seems remote. Drake tosses him a transmitter
and doesn't blame him for wanting to leave for awhileóóhe's been through so much
in the past year. Bob Smith, the photographer, passes Mark and gets to Kohl, telling
him about a monster that lives in a dumping ground and is the dumping ground itself!
Fifty miles north of the baseóóthe area Mark is headed for...is the monster. Kohl
orders them all to the Dragonship. Mark's transmitter seems to break. The monster
of slime and dumpage is behind him. The thing is tentacles and claws, fangs, and
dump garbage. Maire gets to Mark as Kohl and Holly attack the thing. Kohl gets severe
head pain and claws rip out of his fingers. Maire gets something to appear: a giant
set of red lips and teeth to eat the creature. Holly looks for Kohl and finds him:
he has claws and wings and is white in the face, hands, wings, and hair. He asks
her, "What's the matter...have you never seen a dragon before?" |
