Vancouver, British Columbia...Canada, Chinatown: the Subtractor lands, a metallic
robot suit which fries people into skeletons. Kohl is tested to fly at 200 kilometres
per hour, wings pressing about 1500 kilograms per stroke. Kohl hears about the Subtractor
on his headset: 25 dead, some women and children. A very little boy is picked up
by the killer but Kohl snatches the kid from the monster's hand. Kohl is hit by the
thing but he manages to get the kid to a safe place. Kohl has taken weeks to perfect
his landing and flying skills and is used to bad landings. Subtractor uses a metal
wire to rope up Kohl and lifts him far off the ground. Kohl snaps the ropes and swings
the monster into a smoke stack. The thing inside is not human and comes out of the
shell of his crushed battle suit. It attacks Kohl and sends him and itself into the
water out of the sky. |
