Kam tells him not to be too cocky. The man in black from the subway station appears. Four thugs attack. Kam asks, "How could I be so stupid?" Lee says, "Oh hell, I do it all the time." Kam impales one, running one through, Lee uses his staff and feet. The man in black leaves his men to be massacred, thinking Dragonfire is not human. Manhattan 2AM: Lee, wearing a short cut shirt with no sleeves, tries to calm Neji down. Neji is worried about how devious Sam is and that Simon has vanished. Lee has Neji's favorite pizza: cheeseless veggie. Swift, asleep with a Tigger doll and his head over a chair, is fed by Lee. Lee sees Swift blowing spit bubbles. On a radar, the two boys see a meteor or a comet and think there will be tidal waves or earthquakes. Upper Manhattan: Sam's home: Swift goes to Sam's house to talk to him about his homophobia. Sam tells him it is none of business, Simon is under his custody and must play by his rules and his recent deviant behavior is an embarrassment to him. He wants to keep Simon away from that freak Neji and instill family values into Simon. Sam wants Swift to bring a message back to his liberal pals. The vid phone rings. Mark's doctor is calling. Swift overhears the conversation. The doc is worried about Dragonfire, The CIA which called him, and the UFOs. Sam presses a button and metal clamps grab Swift's upper legs, a very expensive security system for dealing with overinquistive little "shits" as Sam calls Swift. The cops will do what Sam says: he tells Swift, "You and your friends have no idea how much power I have. Now shut up!" A metal pole puts a gag on his mouth. Sam has Swift for the doctor's biological experiments and sends Swift to him. Far away, Neji thinks Simon is feeling his body but it is the aliens. He wonders when he can go home but finds he is home.

Simon tells them his sorry bastard uncle sent him here because he is gay. The boys don't think that is bad. The cry boy tells Simon, "The school's color should be lavender, Simon. You gotta be here for lots more serious stuff." One boy shows him a toilet seat cover which helps when your butt is whooped for other things. The fat boy comes in: 5 minutes to breakfast or they go without. They start to change. The other boys are in awe of Simon punching Peeóballs. The cry boy tells him he is either lucky, related to Ronaldo Carasshol or they are planning horrible revenge. On the boy's bare back, Simon sees scars and the initials RC. He sees a boy in a skin tight suit, no slits for eyes, mouth, or nose. Then he sees a boy in a very small hanging birdcage, all cramped in. Simon wonders if this is OliverTwist meets the Marquis de Sade. Sam knew about Neji and Simon for a year. Simon wonders what the real reason Unc sent him here. The boys in black dish out the food from what seems like a garbage can. In class, a boy gets 20 lashes for missing 4 times 4. Simon thinks the bastard is getting his friggin' rocks off beating that kid. The man drools. Simon says he will survive this place, not do what these assholes say, not be broken into a cowering gibbering idiot, "I'm coming back, Unc, ban on it." As the teacher moves over him, he thinks, "Oh shit...
