1 Dragonfire vol. 2 #1 cover half a mile along the Hoboken train tunnel path leading out of Manhattan under the Hudson River: Kam, Kohl and Swift (with a new short cut haircut, short dreadlocks now) investigate with a transit man. Ripped up bodies have been found with organs missing. David Dinkins sent the team to find out what is going on. The train man and Swift talk some kind of black rap, agreeing Kohl is a good man, not so white bread that it hurts as the train man said at first. The train man will take it as "word" from a kid strolling through the subways tunnels in tights. They find two half bodies, the upper half, hanging by their wrists, the lower part of their bodies cut off from the stomach down. Lower Manhattan: Dragonfire HQ: Neji picks up a radar blip but Simon doesn't see it at first, then does. Simon has glasses on now. Neji believes it to be a real UFO and it has set down in NY. Across town at Samuel Stringfellow's lab and apartments: Lee is there with a tñshirt that says DRAGON with RING across it, combining with the R in DRAGON. Kam is there as well as Mark. Lee has a buzz cut except for a large section of the middle of his head with a long piece hanging in front. Mark is doing experiments: he is holding a ton over his head. Maire knows Mark is not violent just stupid. She and Lee discuss this. Mark's nose gets itchy. Lee is afraid when Mark overhears their discussion about his being a dork, that Mark will kill them. Maire tells Mark they should go and have dinner now and make up. Soho: Policemen Al and Ed go into a place, after a mugger. Al farts. It smells like rotting flesh. Ed sees a dragon logo like on Kohl's chest. Something cuts his head off. Al runs but finds a swat team. A man in a tie tells them he saw it and to gun him down. They shoot and kill him. Washington Square Park: Gennin Kimura's Classical Ballet Academy: Gen thinks she heard the echo of gunfire. Neji is in a chair, legs in meditation style. Gen tells him that the kids are lucky that Dragonfire HQ lets them goof around with their equipment. Neji tells her that Dragonring helps out Dragonforce. Gen believes it is a reason to spend time with Simon. Gen tells him she lets him live above her studio and sees him every day. She tells him, "Everyone knows you're gay and I see the way you look at Simon. Being gay is nothing to be ashamed of, kid. It's a lifestyle so don't panic." Neji tells her it just complicates things for him. He tells her more about the UFO whose occupants might be grey judging by the book he is reading: THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES by John A. Keel (a very scary book which I have read myself). Neji goes to bed. Prof. Stringfellow's: Lee greets Simon as a prince, Lee is leaving after helping out Simon's uncle. Lee tells Master Simon he has done all Simon's chores after Simon pissed off with Neji all day. Simon tells him he sometimes gets on his nerves. Lee bows and thanks the master, "...and I love you too!" Simon slams the door and calls Lee, "Pain in the ass." Sam tells Simon he doesn't want Simon hanging around with that queer kid, Neji. Simon tells him Neji is his best friend. Sam tells him that when his father died, Sam said he would look after Simon and that Simon will do what hesays when he says it. He also tells him to get out of that ridiculous uniform. Sam tells Simon that they must think of what his employers in the government will say. Sam slams the door and tells him to go to bed. Path rail near PavoniañNewport: Kam, Swift, and Kohl follow a trail of slime. Swift will go get Mark and Maire at Prof. Stringfellow's. The man with the tie tells his squad to get set to kill them all. Maire and Mark walk on a beautiful night. Mark is glad Maire isn't still mad at him. Maire tells Mark she is always mad at him, fun banter. Maire feels something evil is here.

Dragonfire HQ: Simon in his tights and pull over sleeveless Tóshirt, no glasses on and a pentagram necklace worn around his neck, is meditating. He says, "Homer..." Gen tells the kids that is enough ballet for today. Lee gawks as Swift tries to get Gen to allow him to hang around and watch some videos..hitting on Gen! Lee covers his face, unable to watch. Swift threatens and does a wedgie in Lee's tights since Lee is commenting on his abortive attempt at making a pass at Gen. Gen laughs, "Boys will be boys." Gen passes Neji, telling him not to make a big noise when he comes home tonight. Neji is wearing a near sleeveless jacket over a sweat jacket. Simon says, "The trance is complete. Alex taught me well. I can see..." Homer is in a jeep. Simon sees Homer alone and scared...in a jeep. Neji comes to Gen's and finds Lee and Swift there. Simon is here, hiding from his uncle again. Neji can't blame him: the uncle is a jerk. Lee says, "Ah, he's okay. Swift is the jerk." Swift puts his hand on Lee's shoulder, "Want another wedgie?" Neji says, "Much as I'd like to stay and all watch this, I gotta go." Neji leaves. Lee can't believe Swift came on to Gen. Neji goes in to Simon who is in a trance, something that always spooks Neji. Homer is in a cellar, alone, and looking for something, being watched. A clawed hand scratches on the wall. "No, it's...it's...not human." A blond boy (Simon?) drools. Simon comes out of the trance. Neji was really scared by this. Simon knows Homer is in danger. He thinks the two of them should go find him, even thought they are not supposed to get involved. Simon feels this is deadly serious.
