Purebreeze's father told her that someday Hawk would be king. When Windbrain (as
she calls him) makes her feel foolish and silly, she flips him into a pond and a
frog sits on his head. This is a scene from when Purebreeze, Hawk, and Windblade
were much younger. They listen to Hawk's father EricóSan talking to KenjoóSan. Kenjo
is telling him that trading with the west is a bad thing. Hawk's father chooses to
befriend the Westerners. Kenjo is a Samurai and must defend their lands from the
Western Scum. Eric married a Westerner. Hawk is the best of all children at martial
arts. Eric's wife's father gave him his sword, a westerner also. In tights, three
young boys watch Hawk in the present as he goes a body over on a beam. One boy is
Sparrow and Hawk tells him to try. Sparrow asks, "M..me?" A page brings
in Princess Tiang. The other two boys watching are Tim and Tam. Hawk puts his fist
in his hand, telling Sparrow that he must learn the ways of the warrior to fill Windblade's
shoes as his squire (Hawk really is a pain to say this). Hawk tells the lady that
this sweat filled place is no place for a lady. The Princess's father is Kenjo San.
Sometime ago, Eric San took Kenjo's right arm when he was openly attacked and this
began the blood feud. As they talk, Hawk appears to undress and he and Tiana hug
and kiss. Sidhe call the Standing Stones the Great Spirit's Cradle or a long time
ago some civilization erected them or some "god". Here Moonstar meets Windblade
to tell him the story about his past. An evil wizard attacked a Samurai and his family,
leaving Lord Eric San with only one sonóóa boy who is now king. The wizard DID NOT
kill the mother and the other son as believed. Condor became his apprentice and then
destroyed the evil, clawed wizard later. The wizard wiped the mind of the mother
of all past memories so he could sell her as a slave to a king. Moonstar purchased
the woman, who was vital to his plans and for the planet. He took her to Hue McBane
and Moonstar introduced her as Princess Greensleeve. She was the mother of Hawk,
Condor, and WINDBLADE! The woman died in childbirth, leaving Windblade alone with
Hue. Hue knew he could not protect a half bred son. On Windblade's fifth birthday,
Moonstar took him into the woods and knew Lord Eric San and Hawk would be hunting
nearby and the two found him and adopted him. Once every thousand years a being is
born on the planet, having great power. His task is to help the world and its people.
Moonstar was the last person of such power and Windblade is the next. Moonstar is
at the end of his life and when he passes, the powers will become Windblade's. Moonstar
says, "Rise to meet your destiny, little one. Rise Windblade GreensleeveóóELFLORD!" |
