The Highlands: Oriental type homes, almost Japanese in look. At a mission, the gang have been given shelter for the past few days after they made it through the Floating Stones and the Leprakahns. Bran now wears a red tunic and little else around or beneath it. He eats with chop sticks. Only the forest elves can grant the troupe passage to Moonfinger Mountains. Springstorm gives romantic talk to Purebreeze but a dog pees on his leg. Elsewhere, naked elves swim. The dark skinned Turo jumps off a waterfall. Windy calls him a showoff. Turo follows Windy to a tree to rest. Windy tells him how he feels jealous about Hawk being with Springstorm all the time and that they mean something to each other now. Windy cries but the green eyed Turo holds him as they sit, telling him that Hawk really still likes Windy, to stop crying, and "besides, You have me." The fat monk leader tells Hawk that he must fight the natives' champion Jokasy and win, then go in peace. Bran acts arrogant the next morning, telling Windblade to let the "warriors"––he and Hawk–––pass. Windy wants to rip Bran's hair cut. An elf with no shirt on and yellow sweatpants seems taken with Purebreeze. The little elf is not the champion––the big giant one with red hair is. Bran sees him, "Oh shit." Hawk, in a thong, fights Jokasy. Another elf with a necklace on one frame and a blue thong (the same one as the one who looks like they liked Purebreeze?) tells Jokasy to kill Hawk when he gets Hawk in a back bear hug. Windy uses magic to zap that little elf's butt. While everyone is distracted, Springstorm bops the back of the head of Jokasy. This frees Hawk to kick Jokasy's face. A blue bald monk boy fans the fat leader as they watch Jokasy fall. A few days later: Hawk, Windy, Turo, a blond elf in one canoe; a reddish brown haired elf, Springstorm, Purebreeze, a blue haired elf in another; and two blonds, a yellow–red hair, and Bran in another row. Night: they camp and sleep around a fire. Windy or Turo is sucking his thumb. All sleep with their shirts off (except Purebreeze). A blond elf on guard is hit with a dart in his leg and he falls over paralyzed. Suddenly everyone is attacked by purple and pink thonged red–brown haired native savages who also have very long hair. Hawk slices one's back, a blond is hit with a poison dart. Turo jumps Windblade to save him from the poison dart and they land near a paralyzed blond. Another bare chested blond is hit with three darts in his chest and upper stomach and ribs. Springstorm is relishing his choking of one boy elf. Purebreeze chops the bellies of many of theboys, telling the children (Turo and Windblade) to run. Bran, in a white thong leads the others. Windy warns them but too late––they run over a spike vine–thorn trap (which has foot spikes). Waiting for Windy are two red–brown haired natives with blow dart guns. Windblade uses his magic, clapping his hands to make the two swallow their own darts. They stiffen and fall over. Bran is whimpering as Windy walks over the others, telling the natives to come out. He seems to ignore Turo. A black–blue haired elf on their side is also hurt. Springstorm tosses two native boys into each other. Windy finds Hawk, his eyes almost white but back to normal soon, "He's here, Hawk. My magic is back." Hawk puts a hand on Windy's bare side. When Hawk asks who is here, Windy points, "Him." Greylone is back. Hawk is mad, last time he told Greylone if he came back, he would...Greylone tells them they will soon face the lady and need him but first they will tend to the wounded. Then, he tells them, they will talk. Hawk says, "You bet we will." On the ground as Greylone walks is a blond with darts in his chest, ribs, and near his navel.
