Elflord vol. 2 #24 Aircel, Oct 1988, b&w.
2 Elflord vol. 2 #24 cover Turo, McTutt, Windblade, and Hawk arrive at the Standing Stones (a Holy Druid area). Windy acts giddy from the magic. Turo is worried that Windy is too happy. Not far away, Greylone is with Wraith and Vulture, the pirate king. Right now, Greylone is using Wraith's powers and Vulture is not sure how long he will let that go on. Greylone has set a spell trap in motion. Vulture has set his ship against Hawk's ship and soon he will pillage the isle of white haired elves when he learns where it is. Hawk and Turo eat. Windy gets hit with power. Wraith is holding Windy and tells Greylone Windblade is strong. Greylone cracks the stone under Windy and out come one eyed monster men with four fingers. Turo grabs Windblade while Hawk fights them off. Windy, white eyed, tells Turo he sensed Greylone. Windy's eyes go back to normal and he needs time to close the portal. Turo rushes to help Hawk, sticking swords into the things (which are from another dimension) as Windy makes contact, his eyes going white again. He has Wraith and knocks him down in the power. Vulture tells Greylone to do something, he is torturing Wraith. Wraith cries lots of tears, begging for mercy. Vulture tries to let Windblade get all the power so Wraith can be freed but Wraith passes out. Greylone is hit with power from Windblade and starts to shake and turn more ugly...becoming more like the Overlord still! More monsters come but Turo and Hawk continue to fight them. Windy packs more power, "Now evil one, take this!" Greylone seems to blow up, his head mutating off his body. Hawk and Turo jump for it as blasts close up the portal on the monsters. By the remains of the stone, Hawk, Windy, and Turo find a map...to the Isle of the Sidhe. Hawk asks about Greylone. Windy isn't sure...he knows he hit him pretty hard but they will just have to wait to find out.
