Free of their jewels, wearing only skimpy loin cloths, Ichi and Windblade find Greylone–Overlord has finally fallen asleep. He continues to deteriorate––the powers in the castle are doing this. Windy and Ichi can absorb the powers but Overlord can't. Why?
McTutt finds a cave and a passage leading into the castle. As Turo tells him, "Good boy, McTutt!" McTutt seems embarrassed and shy. They climb up the passage. Bran thought he saw something.
Ichi and Windblade are lost. Ichi tells him there is no one else to interfere. When Windy asks with what, Ichi zaps him, "There can be only one!" Windy fights back but tries to reason with Ichi. Ichi can't help himself. He must be the only white haired elf. Overlord watches, wanting them to destroy each other. Ichi knows the Overlord is doing this to them but can't stop–his and Windy's eyes are white. Bran is behind Turo in the tunnel which goes from vertical to horizontal and gets more and more cramped. Turo can't move on–his claustrophobia is getting to him again. He sniffs, "Oh Bran!" Bran touches his shoulder and comforts him, telling him he is here and that Hawk and that stupid turtle are just up ahead. Turo says, "It's Mr. McTutt." Bran gives in, "Fine...McTutt. Don't forget the bugger bit me once." Bran tells Turo to concentrate on the shaft and to feel the breeze coming down. It goes vertical again. Turo tells Hawk, who calls to them, they are fine. Turo turns to Bran, "Thanks, Bran."
Ichi and Windblade touch hands over the Overlord who watches in glee as the two battle magically. Their eyes are back to normal. Overlord wants them to kill each other. Windblade yells NO, he is sick of all the fighting. He will let Ichi kill him if Ichi wants. Overlord taunts Ichi to rip the flesh from Windy's body, to burn him. Ichi tells him he makes him sick and blasts him with power. Ichi and Windblade stand as one against Overlord who threatens to roast them. One says, "You came back from the future to haunt us but now it's over. Go back where you came from scum." They blast him up and away into time. The others arrive. Turo hugs Windy; Bran hugs Ichi. McTutt does a dance. Turo thought they would never see Windblade again. A white faced giant sized, appears and tells them that they are the last two travellers. Hawk tells it that they know the law but with respect they must reject the fact that there can be only one. The face tells them that of all the white hairs and Elfheimbane before them, only they sought to live their lives simply and not dominate others. Someday they will return to the Mystic Isle of White Haired Elves and be as one with their people. That time has yet to come but they leave them with a gift, one they have carried long and proud. One that rests within all their hearts..."for you are above all else, and forever more...friends!!!" Last shot: Bran with his arm around Ichi with his arm around Hawk with his arm around Windy with his arm around Turo and McTutt walking.
