1 Elflheim vol. 2 #4 cover Dao, Bran, and Hawk have on Shade skins. Dao asks Bran if he is scared. Hawk tells Dao to take it easy on Bran, he's not had it easy. Dao just wants Bran to help them get the throne back. As night falls, they will make their move. Ichi feels it is time to create his world. A dream. A thought. A trap. Windy tells Turo he is not sure which way to go. Turo calls him a Great Wizard but Windy tells him he is not so great. Windy leads the way but his eyes turn white and he stops. Turo holds him from behind. Dao, Bran, and Hawk climb the walls. Ichi's garden: Windy and Turo see an energy ball...Windy calls it a door. Ichi welcomes Windblade to his world. Turo tries to keep Windy back, telling Ichi he cannot have him. The ball has Ichi's face and tells Turo there is nothing he can do. His essence is floating into Ichi's realm now, a place he created beyond this orb. Turo's eyes flood tears, "No...he...he's mine. He's mine...." Windy glubs his way in the other world, naked in his spirit. He seems to be in a black sea but finds his way to the surface and air. Ichi floats above him, telling him that he allowed it and calls Windy a child. Hawk tells the others that the bond that joins Windblade to him has been severed. They climb to a window. Hawk knows Windy was in the stinking garden. Dark lightning and flying swords attack the trio. Sweating, they fight it all. Dark faces with lightning eyes seem to wield the swords. Ichi takes Windy's tear filled face into his hands. Windy won't let Ichi kill him and zaps Ichi. Turo calls to Windy, "Oh, Windy, wherever you are please hear me, know that I'm with you, always. Draw your strength from me." Turo is crying lots of tears. Hawk and the two boys are hacking their way through the dark ones toward the garden and the palace halls. Windblade has a pentagram as a cape clasp and a cape, feeling a bit more equal. Windy tells him it pays to have friends. Ichi says, "Snot nosed little flea." Ichi's bolts pass through Windy. Hawk fights, "Hold on to Windy, Turo, I'm here. And there's going to be hell to pay!" Windblade comes back to life in Turo's arms. Ichi is trapped in the orb, yelling at Windblade to come back, calling him a flea. Windy traps him in his own little world, making the orb vanish. Windy is fine thanks to his friends. Dao calls him a little twit. Hawk says, "Yea but he's my little twit." Windy giggles, "Oh Hawk." Turo says, "Missed you, Windy." Windy thinks they can put the kingdom all back and tells Bran so.
