A creature wearing almost naked and bald boys around his necklace appears. The wizard tells of the merchant who had the dragon hatchling killed. The master orders the wizard to kill all who destroyed the hatchling. In new clothes are Jethel, Tyso, and Kim, less skin showing. Jethel asks Tyso if they will fight again; Tyso asks if they ever stop. Purebreeze tells Falcon they have been together for months and she needs to be alone. Falcon thinks it is dangerous. She wants to try to find Windblade a present. Falcon wants to go home. The three boys go to a tavern called Bloated Sow which they saw yesterday. Falcon says, "I have such loyal and devoted friends." Falcon goes to the nutty merchant Mealcarrott to get the money he owes them. Mealcarrott tells him he must take him to a brothel called Hummingbird House on Waterflower Way. Falcon dares to ask what kind of brothel. Before he can answer, Mealcarrott gets three knives through his face from the back. He falls down steps to Falcon. There are Dragon Shade Assassins. Falcon rips into them with his sword. Jethel asks if the other two boys saw the barmaid. Tyso says, "I think that's where they got the name for the tavern!" Kim says, "Not so loud!" Tyso cannot begin to tell them the hideous things that were done to him as a statue. Jethel and Kim have the power stones but don't know how to use them. Jethel tells Tyso that he is safe now and Kim tells them to let nothing tear their friendships apart. Deep below, the Master tells the fat wizard to kill them all. LETTER PAGE INFO: Fan Storylines: a gambling town that has deadly games so the company can collect oil needed and use a weapons dealer; boys ask Hawk and Windy for help but they are the ones ravaging a small fort town; snow beings hunt and kill wholly mammoth beings but Windy stops them by activating a volcano; Cloudshadow animates Ravenclaw again but gives him the ability to look like Hawk as a cult gets Windy.

Backup story first page A Koogie magic herb page; Foxfire can't leave Porkchop and Koogie can't leave Foxfire; a flying blackbird turns into Rowan a young laird, who helps kill the monsters one of which were warned not to kill or attack the Sealy Court. The monsters called Bogans had moved into the Old Fergenson House. Rowan wears a black short cut vest with string ties across each side, no shirt underneath, short black leather shorts, and ankle high boots. The Slaugh will come collect the dead Bogans so the two boy Selkies carry Porkchop who listens to them talk about Bogans, their glamour false images, bringing Porky into faerie, and that the sun is going down and the restless dead will be out soon. Porkchop jumps out of their arms and hands. Rowan yells, "You're conscious! You let us carry your big butt all this time?!" It gets dark and they run.
