Elfheim vol.3 #3 Night Wynd, 1992, b&w.
1 Elfheim vol.3 #3 cover Hawk sees Windblade dressed in a pentagram about his neck, skimpy chains about his waist holding buttons along his middle up and down his entire middle...and not wearing much else. There are also four other elves sitting around, all with hair tied back and two who look afraid. Out the window is a real building——a photograph. This is in Windy's tower and he is testing his spells. Gold chains are around Windy's wrists, belly, and upper arms. Hawk tells him to be careful...magic and Greenhaven don't mix as "we've learned so much in the past." The boy elves are pages who were trained by Ichi to help perform magic rites. Windy dances. Hawk sighs that Windy can't leave it alone. Windy tells him he wouldn't ask him to give up being an Elfheimbane. Hawk tells him he would chuck this whole king business if it meant Windblade would be happy. He wants a kingdom of peace for a change. Hawk's face looks much more Oriental which is fine. Windy does a split and two page boys hold his legs. They are wearing a crossed rope affair held by a center ring which is around their belly buttons and which has ropes that go around their bottoms——not much and ropes are made of cloths. Dao and Bran tease about Hawk being a slayer of monsters and a warrior and having to go talk over much business with the aide. Greylone and Nendo continue to talk about Kibbi and their plans for him. Pain and pleasure make Sidhe love it, Greylone figuring that magic is a form of sex for them. Tears come out of Kibbi's eye. Nendo salivates as she watches Greylone move a sharp pin along Kibbi's body which Greylone perceives as submissive. He pierces Kibbi's left nipple and blood flows out. Ichi calls to Greylone to take him from the netherworld. Greylone's hand pushes him back, wanting him to suffer even more. Greylone figures Ichi still has his self in the lumbering jelly that is his body. He wants Ichi totally broken. Kibbi is crying. The Lay Lines are charged with energy or so Windy says as he does his dance and splits. He goes headstanding in the middle of the four pages. In the other world, Kibbi's spirit warns Windy. A magic bolt from Greylone hits them. Kibbi and Windy are blasted away from each other. Kibbi's body wakes up and he is sweating profusely. Greylone tells him he wants the planet and will get it once he performs the rite of three. The pages break the spell but Greylone comes out of the mist and he blasts a pageboy. He also makes another bleed from a blast. Windy tells Greylone he is a bastard and that he will kill himself before he lets Greylone perform that rite. Windy's powers have matured since he last met Greylone. A page boy seems to be lying down...dead perhaps, near Windy. Hawk runs up to him, a piece of hair in front of his face. Garth follows Turo across a bridge (which looks like the bridge on the Sid and Marty Kroft series LAND OF THE LOST) in the Sky Torn Mountains. Turo must find the Srith wizard and surrender himself to him. Garth gasps, "What?!?"
    Backup story: "Stardusters" part 3.
Backup story first page A gale of force 9 is out on the ocean. Tapiet's hair is very long and his boots very high up to his leg. In the morning he finds he is on the Star Duster, a 35 foot cruiser, a sailboat. The two men on it call him a Manitou. One man has long hair and seems to be an Indian and is named Turk. Turk claims Capt. Jack has two elves sailing with him out of Skillyhope. Turk tells them he thinks the boys are Selkies. The man with short hair calls them boys with rare but normal deformities. Tapiet avoids the question of whether or not he was flying but does tell them his friend is sick and in the ocean. Tapiet tells Turk he hates lying, telling the other man he was hovering only because he weighs so little and was picked up by the wind. He tells Turk he is an alien but if he told the truth he'd be shipped to some government lab. The short haired man tells him not to let him get him riled. He is Finn McDunn and he hugs an arm around his Indian friend and fellow scientist Jonathan Silent Turkey––Turk for short. One shot of Finn as he pours coffee or tea is a photo. They ask him if he has seen a meteor crash into the sea. The current changes and the ship gets close to Fiddle Wit Island. There is a lighthouse there (photo). Another frame as Tapiet plays with his hair is a photo with him drawn over it. Finn calls him Tadpole. Of Finn's questioning, Tapiet tells him, "Whatcha sayin' is my clothes are just a tad unusual." Finn, with glasses on or shades, says, "Heck no! Quite normal––if yer into torture. Haha." He says, "Actually they're quite comfortable." A shirtless boy with short cropped hair comes up and is mad that the two men told him it was too dangerous to take him along but that they brought some little freakazoid indian wannabe. Finn says, "Easy Tig, it's not like that." Tapiet says, "No, it's even better," as he holds his own leg, near his butt. Finn calls him a little piss ant and chuckles. "Oh yes, things are definitely perking up around here!"
