Elflore vol. 2 #3 Night Wynd, 1992, b&w.
1 Elflore vol. 2 #3 cover Falcon warns the three boys and sets Jethel to find Purebreeze; Falcon takes Tyso and Kim to talk to the locals. He thinks he knows someone who can tell them more about this dragon cult. A large elf gets his or her (?) hands on Jethel, offering to help him find his friend. Jethel tells the elf he smells. Purebreeze gets lost but an oafish elf finds her who tells her there are others here that are strangers who faces other troubles. Falcon goes to Boozlein who tells them that his price is high. Falcon tells him to see him later to tell him, they don't have time for talk about payment now. They cross a bridge. Boozlein told them where to go. Tyso tells Kim not to complain about a city's areas that are filled with the dregs of life––he is a thief, remember. Eggbert, the fat sorcerer (Phalagulos?) calls forth the master. He has two slave boys kneeling before him. Two arms slither out and the hands cover the mouths of the boys and make them filled to bloating. The merchant who arranged for the death of the Drake (little dragon, I guess) is dead. Eggbert is told the Master wants Falcon and Purebreeze dead. Eggbert says, "Falcon–how I hate that name! He's such a poo–poo head!!" Falcon, Kim, and Tyso climb far below street level, finally landing on a small area of water. Falcon feels tingly magic which he has felt before. Tyso becomes a statue again and cannot move. A magic field has re–bewitched him. Falcon tells Kim they cannot help him now. They will come back and carry out him later when they are done. A couple of fat oafs with hoods on arrive and take Tyso away after Falcon and Kim leave. One is Boozlein and Tyso is his payment. The elf with Jethel is called Pudworskie and he gives Jethel drink. A drug is in the drink and it makes him feel good and nice. Laying him down, Pudworskie gives him more and more using a funnel so that he can get the dragon's eye. Purebreeze arrives and cuts his chances of being Dragon Lord but cutting his head clear off! The fat wizard welcomes Falcon and Kim, telling them his master will be so pleased that he brought them here...to their doom.
    Backup story: "Foxfire" part 3.
Backup story first page Honeysuckle and magical herbalism page; Rowan has his sword out and tells Chop (Porkchop) to come up on the hill——Rowan offers to be rear guard. The restless dead hunt the Seely blood. Foxfire can see the bridge, a place where they can find safety. Chop tells Rowan to run as he sees two Sluaghs (different spelling). Foxfire wonders if Guffy can help them. Guffy wakes up but Koogie (who figures if you gotta go, go out fightin') gets on one's head and tries to sword it. He jumps and the dead man hits his own head, crakin' it. Chop asks Rowan what that was and Rowan says, "A young trow." Huh? Foxfire finds Guffy (who has short hair on the sides and long in the back in this issue as well as seemingly pointed ears) who calls him a Fox Pup, "Never a dull moment when you're around." Chop asks, "Isn't there anything normal in this world ?!?" Koogie tells him he wouldn't know normal if it barked in his face, calling him "Pot Roast" as a nickname.
