Elflore vol. 2 #4 Night Wynd, 1992, b&w.
1 Elflore vol. 2 #4 cover Purebreeze tells Jethel he lead them into a trap as she fights troll like elves and ogres. She tells him, "Hold onto the gem, puff boy," and "I said hold on, Jethel, this won't take long. Don't pee your tights...again." Purebreeze kills most of them but one runs away, saying, "Bitch elf fights like wraith." Jethel says, "I never peed in my tights." Eggbert is happy that he has Falcon, in a jockstrap like loin cloth and his former catamite, Kim in a similar outfit hanging by their wrists together over a cauldron. A gremlin, Gazanga, is with him. He lowers them into a tub of warm water where something else is in...a something with tentacles and suckers. Eggbert calls them Wigglers which can suck blood, drain them to a withered corps (should be corpse) for him to animate into a bizarre marionette or it can reduce them to mindless idiots that can be dressed as a foppish clown. Boozelein makes plans to dress Tyso up pretty and sell him to a merchant and puts a lip ring into Tyso's lower lip...and has more rings he stole. Tyso's right eye has a tear flowing down it. A really pissed off warrior woman comes running in with her sword knocking bricks over. She puts a sword into Boozelein and his aide, thinking she likes this. The gem lead she and Jethel to Tyso. Purebreeze tells him she has faith in her swords and to stand downwind of her..."That tart's perfume you bath in makes my eyes water. How's Tyso?" Jethel attempts to fix him with the gem. Purebreeze wants to kill Eggbert, calling Jethel a puff boy. In a dragon realm, the master swears by the Black Blood of Borrimain's bolix. The Srith has Turo tied to his chest in the Srith caverns far away. The Srith has Turo strapped to his chest with ropes and Turo wears little else. Other elves are being tortured, some are hung by their wrists, their backs against rocks. They wear only tattered shorts and underwear. Garth finds a boy sitting crosslegged with a belt and buckle on with a candle of wax burning on his head! Garth finds out that the Srith is talking about the Srith Master——Stigg, the most powerful Srith sorcerer. Garth says, "Blimey, a lizard and a wizard." The boy begs of Mr. Rat to set him free but Garth won't do it. Garth can't——if he sets the boy free, he will have to take care of him and he already has his eyes set on the king's page boy, Turo! The Srith drips drool past Turo as he talks into a crystal ball. Turo sees the face in the ball——"Father!!!" The bald elf man says, "Turo!" The Srith says, "Oh—oh." The things in the pot are up to Kim and Falcon's stomachs!
    Backup story: "Foxfire" part 4.
Backup story first page Magical herbalism: John the Conqueror, roots, mint oils, Harm none!: Porkchop is amazed that the gang came through a solid stone wall and they can look outside. Rowan tells Guffy it is beautiful and Guffy thanks him. Guffy has the back of his hair in semi braids, three ear rings on left ear, and shorts on high over his belly and a black belt buckle as well as some kind of necklace on and ankle high boots like Robin Hood boots. His place looks like a normal cottage with bunk beds (Guffy asks Porkchop if he expected a cave). Koogie is feeling dirty after Guffy mashed Sluagh brains on him. Guffy gives him a bowl to wash off in. Koogie takes off his fur loin cloth. The old haunted house next to the Gerry's Woods holds a house with Bogans living in it. Rowan and Foxfire are new to the area and Koogie's only interested in nuts. Koogie says, "Hey, I resent that!" Koogie calls Foxfire "dog biscuit breath" when Foxy laughs, "HaHa, he's got you there, Koogie!" Rowan says, "Skinwalkers are so high strung." Fox calls him a feather brain and Rowan says, "Why you..." Guffy, taller than the others, calls them children and tells them it is time to have their modest repast...chow time. Guffy is a master chef. When Pork asks if it is normal food, Koogie (wanting his extra portions) tells him it is maggots and toad testicles. Chinese vegetarian delights since as Foxy tells Porky they don't eat meat here. Porky likes it and tells Guffy so. Guffy thanks him. That part of the forest Foxfire told Guffy about was once called Grugagh's Woods and the old house used to be a tower––one for the host. A war between two courts happened. The Laird's court won but at great cost. The Gruagagh killed the Gruagagh of the host but later died himself of the wounds. The energies of all that blood echo in the woods and the old tower. Laird or Seelie courts are aligned with the happy and blessed. The host or unseelie are the dark and grim. Gruagaghs are wizards and both courts can have them. Their place of magic is called a tower. There is more negative energy since more of the Host died in the woods and more negative energy soaked into the Ley Lines there. Guffy and his kind have been purifying the ley's for a century now. The Sluagh come out even before it is fully dark. Something has caused a reversal. Koogie tells Rowan the woods near there is not a place he and Foxy like to play. Porkchop asks if it could be a human thing that is causing it. Disbelief in faerie weakens them. Belief in evil creatures give the Host energy to grow in strength. Only little kids believe in fairy. Porkchop apologizes and promises he will believe in them, "What am I saying?!? Of course I believe!" Fox is glad to have his help but doesn't think an increase in slasher movie watching is causing this. A director is making a horror movie in the woods. The guards always kicked Pork and his group out of the movie set. Koogie tells him they will try it in faerie and Pork is excited. Guffy looks down at Porky, smiling, "I think we've got another tadpole touched by faerie," and he laughs. Porky says, "If so, may I never be untouched.
