Two page boys grab Turo but Falcon and Kim vanish. When one page boy tells Turo that Eggbert may turn them into anything, Turo snaps, "Good!" They tell him to shut up and hope the dragon eats him this time. A boy with candle wax on him no longer has on any bonds. Kim and Falcon land near an Imperial Keep near the pass to Elfheim. Three soldier elves wearing German WWI helmets and carrying staffs tell them to halt. One of them knows Falcon who tries to warn them that Elfheim is going to be attacked. He asks to see the governor. Above are zeppelin's that drop bombs, sent by Eggbert. Kim is freezing and liked the desert better. A gremlin in Eggbert's castle is using a cat of nine tails from behind to punish a page boy. Eggbert shows Turo his attack force moving to attack Hawk. Eggbert thinks Turo should be honored to be the personal slave of the dragon master. Eggbert feels they will all be Princes of the Universe (another HIGHLANDER reference?). Sueliminn is away, enlisting Greylone World–Strider! Turo tells them he has fought him before. Spod burns the knee of another page boy with his small cigar. Eggbert wants to take Turo to watch the flogging. Behind them a page boy cries. Greylone yells and curses Ichi for blowing off his the top of his head. Sueliminn the Magnificent comes to him and wants to enlist him in the magic Guild of Mages. On an air ship heading to attack Greenhaven or Elfheim, Purebreeze finds puff brained palace boys...Tyso who is leaning over and whispering or
Kissing Jethel. They have large nose rings that hang over their mouths. Tyso's hear is in two think pony tails to either side, both boys have cups on. Tyso blames Jethel for these silly outfits. Purebreeze asks if they rolled in perfume since they reek. An elf man with long beard and moustache, who Purebreeze humors, tells the degenerate boys to get below, calling them horrible painted tarts. He is a mercenary who feels he does the real fighting while the fat king sits on his fat arse with his perfumed page boys. The soldier feels that young upstart Erickson needs to be taught a lesson. A few days and they will be across the Crater Desert. Then they will hammer the hell out of the Keep blocking the Mountain Pass. Meanwhile, in a place where dark boys hang by their hands on the ceiling underground, a huge muscled demon king, Borgamul calls his demonette son Mully. They have pointy tails and ears, fangs, horns, and ear rings. Mully has a nose ring and a spiked collar. The Elfin folk interest Borgamul. They examine one of the hapless souls (an elf boy with a nose ring and no shirt on) sent to them to suffer which changes those sent so. It is all the demonette boy has known. Mully fears that his father has become too fond of the Elfin people.

Backup story first page Herbalism: Juniper; also a poem about a fair lad in the first of May being forever handsome washing in the dew from the Hawthorn tree; Perrigrin is at the memory's limits. He falls from the sky into water and Rowan goes in after him. He will be fine Rowan says despite swallowing half the Atlantic Ocean. Saying, "If he's hurt, Dog boy, I'll get you," among other things, Lee yells at Foxfire. Foxfire turns into a fox and tells Lee, "Screw you!" Foxfire will let Rowan deal with the boys if he can stomach them. He will return to help Porkchop and Koogie in the Haunted Woods but must first get some clothes since changing didn't affect his clothes, too. He finds his bathing suit in the old wagon. He takes a shortcut through Bogan's Bog. The man with Porkchop is part elf and he talks to Porkchop about moving the movie from Gerry's Woods. He will make a positive movie about Koogie and the other Seelies and do it on Seelie land. Foxfire in his skimpy bathing suit, tells Koogie, he is a hero just as Koogie tells him Porkchop is a hero. Koogie told Chop to tell the producer about the Faerie like it was some fantasy and the guy gobbled it up. Foxfire, his bathing suit not really covering his hips, races Koogie for the last slice of pizza. Koogie tells him to prepare to eat only the crumbs. Foxfire finds Lee, Perrigrin, Simon, and Neji at his place——the treehouse and Lee is climbing up, Aw sniff my crotch, dog breath!" and also adds, "Go pee on a tree, mutt!" Simon is awed about real faerie folk. Lee tells him, "Trust you to get all gushy over faeries, Simon." Neji yells, "That's it, dickhead. You've been sniping at us ever since I got vamped by Hue (in CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT, Neji is bitten by Hue a vampire, to save him). Neji yells, "Get used to your new status in Dragonring or get out!" Perri runs to help Lee recover as Lee cries. Neji tells Simon he hopes Lee won't quit and leave, but they couldn't go on this way. They hope Perri can help him. Perri finds Lee who says he hates Neji. Perri explains to him that his kung fu skills always had a super human element to them but now they are all equals since they all have that special edge. He also makes Lee see that Neji didn't say some of the things that Lee thought he did. Perri tells him he is still the leader, "None of us has the fire, the daring, the piss and vinegar to lead, like you! You can be a royal pain in the butt but you're our pain in the butt." The Dragonring boys have on black gloves and boots. Foxy found the treehouse and fixed it up. He wants to keep them out as does Tapiet from his guest house, "Damn Earthlings." Foxy meets Tapiet in the woods. They collaborate on their "escapees from the school of bondage and discipline." They both think the same thing and slap each other's hands, "May the force by with us!!"
