Elflore #1 Night Wynd, 1992, b&w.
P Elflore #1 cover A boy with a pointed bone necklace on, his long hair revealing a pony tail on one side wears only a few chains, tied to a wrist band, another wrist band on the other wrist, and a small loin cloth. He has one ear ring in his left ear and a nostril ring in his right nostril. He also has ropes on his upper right hand between thumb and other fingers and before his pinky. From page 1 to page 5 has prose with just this boy being seen. He seems to be a slave in a shrine that was made by the slaves and workers of the past who gave their lives being toiled to death. He crawls, gets wet, and manages to get a skull with one eye in it——of a something that came through a door from somewhere else, possibly another elf. He brings the skull to his master who was handed down to him as a slave...the father found him in the bowels of this temple. The boy is a thief but the father used him as a decoration to hang his robes on. The boy is hugged by a small demon like rodent like thing. The boy has held the skull with the demon gem in the eye for many centuries. The city around them was built up while the boy stood frozen, waiting for the other gem. A darker haired boy with nipple rings attached to ropes which run around his neck, a wrap around his chest and a small thong going from it to his crotch interrupts. He also wears huge ear rings. The master is told someone comes in the desert. The master tells the boy he looks as if he needs a bout with the machine in the torture chamber. The Crater Desert: Falcon and Purebreeze are sweating, their beasts have died and they have run out of water. He tries to make her think he knows where they are but secretly thinks, "We're screwed." Falcon and Purebreeze ran away from Greenhaven to get away from Bran and his elf Ichi. They see an idol or marker of some sort——a stone skull statue with claws holding a loin cloth wearing elf boy with a nose ring. As Purebreeze watches, an eye pops out of his mouth, watching them. Purebreeze screams and runs but a giant one eyed giant with wings pops out of the ground. It picks her up and flies away. Falcon fights another monster——an animal man, then two of them. One is ripped at the belly by Falcon's sword but Falcon has his shoulder strap on his right shoulder torn off. A day later, Falcon follows the direction the flying beast took and enters a dump of a town. He asks a big, old tired elf who picks his nose, about some information. The town is ruled by wizard Phlagulos who lives in a tower and rules the town with an iron hand. Falcon says, "Naturally." Falcon wears a metal cup over his crotch and not much else, a waist band, and suspenders from it to his top armor of pointed shoulder coverings. Purebreeze is brought to the wizardKuolmak who has hanging boy elves who wear belts vertically along their bodies and horizontally, straps with holes in them. Some boys are hanging off bars. Others are standing with candles on their heads and wax dripping down their faces. Some have rings over their navels to hold the straps and metal cups over crotches like Falcon. Some who have candles on their heads have gags over their mouths. Kuolmak and his rival use boy elves with eyes in their mouths as observers. A prophesy written long ago told of a warrior woman who would come out of the sands and bring together two gems. The wizard puts his fingernail into the chest of a boy just above the boy's left nipple and makes him bleed a little. The gems will open the demon's door and give absolute power. Purebreeze says, "Naturally." Falcon swears by his father's sword he will have her out by morning. It is midnight. Falcon climbs up the tower ridges as a bald boy in loin cloth is held to watch down on Falcon, a boy who has tears streaming down his face. The other wizard watches, telling himself that Falcon comes just as was foretold in a prophesy. Falcon finds a brick hole which leads him to Phlagulos who tells him he has a brain. Falcon takes out his sword, "And a sword also, fatso." He asks where Purebreeze is but this wizard tells Falcon he doesn't have her but knows who might. He tells of Kulomak who has her a certain bauble of his. The wizard puts his arm around Falcon. He has the gem's twin and wants the other from Kuolmak. The boy holding the skull is frozen and a tear comes out of his left eye.
