He gets lost in a swamp, and is ambushed by Spydra's minions. Lynx, the second daughter of the local king, rescues Windblade and brings him to the castle. As a sidhe, Windblade is not well received, but tries to do his duty.
In the process, Spydra's spy learns all, and she plans to side with humans.
