s Leather & Lace #4 cover Homer steers the kids to the Mekong River, soon to cross the border from Thailand to Cambodia tomorrow. Billy laments he will be an 18 year old MIA. Chris tells him he knew the risks but he didn't think he and Chris, who knew the risks, would be stupid enough to take them. He has on a head rag tied at the back of his head, shorts, and tóshirt. Pam apologizes that she got Billy in this deep. Billy tells her it is not her faultóóthey just didn't know how powerful Stratton was. Neji tells them he is. Chris asks him if he is sure they are going the right way, using his name for the first timeóóNeji De Shimern. Stratton is partners with drug lord of the Hmong people, "We been here before with my former master." Neji tells them, "Neji likes new friends. You all crazy Americans...maybe you can untie me?" "I think he's kinda cute." "Yeah, untie him." Homer is all choked up and sarcastic, calling them adventurers. Billy tells the two girls to hide below. Chris laughs, "One sign of trouble and you'll melt, you skinny little runt." Pam cheers her on. Billy says, "Why I oughtta...!" Homer thinks, "Sighóóthis is gonna be a long trip." Peter is in a jeep with an Oriental driver boy who he forces to go check out the area ahead by pulling a gun on him. In the jeep is big fat Mr. Obmar who has his medicine with him. The boy says, "Nothin' here, boss." Even as he waves his hands, an arrow goes through one side of his head, just behind his ear and out the other. He falls, his face still smiling his teeth out to them. He wore a tank top, large legged shorts, a tie belt, and a cap with small brim. Kim and his men arrive and know of Peter who came back with his fat friend...they have visited before. Kim leads the young men of his tribe...they reject the old ways...are pirates who look out for only themselves. Obmar calls him an entrepreneur. Burping Obmar wants Homer's boat stopped. He will help since much money talks as the Yankee's say. Evening: Homer is drinking and won't join the others for a swim since it would sober him up. He tells her that everyone tells him he drinks too much and that if she added up the ages of all her friends and herself, she would get almost how old he is. She rubs his head. They tease each other. He tells her to go play with the piranhas. Pam says, "You know Neji...without that ridiculous costume on you, you look almost human." Neji, wearing a bathing suit which shows lots of hip and leg, says, "Thanks Pam, I think!" Pam asks Billy if he is scouting for a place to build a sand castle. He says, "Yeah right." He feels like they are being watched. 2 of Kim's menóboys watch. One can put a bullet right through him easily. Billy thinks Homer is useless but Pam tells him they wouldn't have gotten this far if it weren't for him and his boat. Billy is in as short a bathing suit as Neji. Billy is nervous and calls both Homer and boat relics and worries they can both fallapart. Chris goes into the water, "Man, Billy...you sure can be a dork sometimes." Billy shrugs, "What did I say?" He is sitting on a rock or inlet with Pam. The two watching Oriental thugs go report back to Kim using an old tunnel. Billy tells Pam she is right, he is too tense. Pam finds a way for him to relax. He says, "I think I'm gonna like this." He licks her back and other areas. She lets him do other stuff to her from behind. Chris cannot believe what an insensitive twit Billy can be. Neji tells her to be thankful that Mr. Bently couldn't hear. He and Chris walk into an area where they just sink down after looking for a clear area...where Neji suspected they were being watched as Billy said. Neji lands on Chris's backside, both are backside to backside. They are in an old Kamir Rouge tunnel. The two thugs start shooting at them. Billy calls in but has to jump aside as they shoot up at him. Neji and Chris get down into the dark. One thug shoots. Chris or Neji says, "Nice going, you killed the wall." The other thug tells the shooting one, "Stop shouting," which should have been, "Stop shooting," since he has a lighter. They hear a thud. The lighter goes on. They see Homer Bently with a pistol. Billy is fully dressed, "Hi, guys!" Homer shoots. Billy asks, "Think we got 'em?" Homer tells him to light the flashlight, calling him kid. They go into a tunnel where it gets deeper and less roomy. Pam, dressed now gets a rope out of Homer's pack. Chris thinks they are rid of the two thugs. As Pam lowers a rope down ("Great! Here comes the rope.") a large Oriental with a knife and a smaller one with an army brim hat on, comes up behind her.
