1 Ripper #4 cover Dockyards: Willard is with his thug Lester. Smugglers will want thekid. Willard may pick up a few extra bucks. A man in an alley wants to killRipper, who is wounded, for trash that is in his alley. Ripper blocks theman's knife with a garbage can cover and then smashes the man's head downonto the ground, holding his neck from behind. Then he steps on the head andthe man's eye pops out. Willard's building has just burned down. The chief ofpolice thinks nothing. Washington Square Park: two little black kids arebeing offered some stuff for free. One doesn't really know if he wants to tryit. The kids' eyes go wide. One dealer with a cap on asks, "Was wrong?"Ripper puts his knife into the back of the guy's head and out his eye. Thekids run. Ripper rips the knife out the top of the man's head, the capflipping. The other dealer has thick glasses on. The dealer tells Ripper thatWillard's drug distribution warehouse is on Pier 58 on the East Ribber.Ripper won't let him go. He cuts the man's head in half, cutting the foreheadoff all the way through! Eyes on the News is on. Rev. Slapton discusses themurder, "Das right! He done it cause he wanted ta do Griff." He goes on toclaim the innocent were victims of the Ripper. Previously, Slapton saidWillard was a blight on the city, giving people drugs or injecting them withAIDS to kill them off. Slapton now feels Willard is now innocent. When thereporter confronts him with this, Slapton says, "Yeah...but ah changed mymind!" Larry and another cop see a suspicious boat being loaded on the dock.They decide to go ticket some illegally parked cars instead. The smugglerboss takes Skuffy, "Hah, yeah, we'll make use of him." Willard says, "Lookslike a job well done, men." The pier blows up and the men go flying. Thesmuggler who has Skuffy yells, "My boat! The drugs!" Ripper skewers thesmuggler's neck from the side and out the other side. Ripper tells Skuffy,"Hide!" Ripper slits the throat of another thug, then pops out another's eyeand cuts his arm off and bats at the other thugs coming at him with the arm!He cuts into a cap wearing head of a thug. He slits and opens the upper bellyof another. Willards asks why Ripper won't die. He fires a gun at him andhits Ripper in the shoulder. He empties his gun, "I gotta get more bullets,"Willard smiles. He leaves with his money. Skuffy runs to Aaron. Ripper tells Skuff that he has been dying since they killed his love in the park but "I can't drop dead til they're all paid. You're alone, Skuffy! Live! Forme...please, just live!" Skuffy is crying real tears. Willard has his money and his gun.
