FOREVERGREEN PART EIGHTóThe river is known at the High One's Tears. PeióLar's humans
are outcasts and rebels who quit the lost city of the Hoan G'TayóSho celebrate their
new friends. Chot munches and burps. Kimo says, "Well done, Chot!" Kimo
has purple eyes. Chot wants to show the humans what a Go Back dancer is like and
knocks Jethel over to get to do so. Suntop giggles, "This is going to be good!"
Yun hates when Chot does this, everyone looks at her as if she is the one to blame.
Chot does the dance of the big fish catch. One human thinks, "The Spirit has
gone mad!" Pei Lar has already worked out that not all Sky Spirits are like
"that one" Chot. Chot has on a vest with no shirt beneath. Dart is glad
for this night, looking at a yawning Jethel. After all they have been through they
need to drop their guard. Jethel tells Suntop he has had enough and will go to sleep
now. With a short cut ripped sleeveless vest on, Suntop watches on his belly, "I
love this." Chot chants, "Fish to eat, watch my fast and flailing feet!"
Dodia thought Jethel had more spunk than that. Chot wonders who put that foot there
and falls. All laugh. Dart laughs, "Good old Chot! He never lets us down!"
They all tease Chot. Kimo tells them he was impressed, laughingly so. Pei Lar hopes
their fighting skills are better than their friend's dancing when they attack Aramak.
Kimo touches Dart's shoulder, "Oh, I think we can do our share. Right Dart?"
Dart thinks, "Another battle..." Dodia goes to Jethel, calling him cub.
Jethel closes his eyes, "It...it's Sandflea, your jackwolf. Nobody seems to
care that he got killed..." Dodia hugs him from behind, "Ohhh! Oh, Jethy,
I do care! It's true we are not as bonded to our mounts as the Wolfriders are but...I
did lose a good and trusted friend..." Jethel cries real long tears. Suntop
enjoying himself, tells Shenshen, his red headed aunt, he is not tired and not a
child. He gets a message sending from Windkin. Dart gets the message, too. Windkin
tells them things have changed here. He is staying on of his own will. They decide
to say nothing of this to the humansóóthey have to decide if this is their fight.
Dart wants Suntop to reach Savah to tell her of what has happened. Savah in the Sun
Village, talks of Yurek who has all his sensing. There is something Savah hasn't
told the cub Suntop something but he will find out later. "They all will."
Humans are crossing the burning waste. Bailon talks to the troll Thuggop in a cave
while the servant boy sticks up for the troll, telling Bailon that Thuggop does need
things on the other side of the desert and Thuggop himself tells Bailon he does not
shun all things humans have to offer. Bailon looks younger and has no shirt on. After
Bailon goes, Thuggop tells the servant boy he will come with him, calling him a loose
mouthed welp. Thuggop grabs and throws his servant boy and tells him he was lucky
today, he will not have such luck again to enjoy. He orders him to get him food.
They will find a way through the spiked mountains. Legends of the HoanóG'Tay tell
of a magic pool and beneath its surface water spirits dwell, kin to the sky spirits.
On nights when Mother and Child moons play in the sky, the spirits rise to the surface
world to dance in the moonbeams. Jethel and Suntop look for Yun by the pool. Yun
asks them, "Don't littleSun Pup's ever sleep?" Jethel says, "We're
not pups!" Jethel tells her, "I'm part Wolfrider. It's still hard to sleep
at night." Back at the hold, his father would bring Ember and he to the biggest
tree in the forest and tell them stories. One of his favorite was about Skywise and
a magic ring. Jethel tells Suntop he thinks Yun wants to be left alone, "Let's
go find Chot. YAWN. He's always fun!" Yun thinks, "Especially if you can
wake him up!" She lets out a long Siiiigh. She looks into the water and a water
elf looks up at her, dripping wet. He jumps up. She gasps, "Frozen buck wads!"
Panting, she kneels as he comes up, his body out fully and jumps out and back in,
with a large fin tail. Aramak in the city in the morning, crashes a cup of red liquid.
This is a WAVEDANCER. Windkin sits and talks to Door, his female human (elf fake)
and the two servant human boys with long black hair. He tells them Door they need
to show the humans that Door is a kind spirit and maybe the humans will stop fighting
amongst themselves. "We may be able to unite the people again," Windkin
tells him. Door just listens, putting his hand on his chin. One boy (now both wearing
the red and black symbols around their necks) says, "Uh oh." Aramak thinks
it is a good idea, Windkin says. The five fingered son of Aramak in Windkin's costume
still, comes in, "My father rules here, spirit!" He is with a dull blond
haired kid and a dark brown haired kid. The dark browned hair shoots a blow gun at
Windkin and hits him just above and to the left of his right nipple. The son has
green eyes and lite brown hair. This is GeóO Ka (the one who tried with his band
to capture Willowsnap). The slave asks why he would do this. The prince says, "Use
your head, slave! This is Aramak's cityóóhis people! Nothing may change that! It
is the will of Aramak!" Windkin falls with his head arched. Dart asks PeióLar
what if they don't attack just yet. Dart jumps up to a tree branch, far beyond what
humans can do jumping. Dart tries to reason with her that they must prepare more
and that they need more people or at least to find a way inside. She wonders what
secret he holds back from her. Jethel and Suntop race toward the two, calling for
Dart. Jethel sends mind talk to Suntop, "It doesn't look like he's told her
yet!" Suntop tells them Windkin sent to him. He's been stung again and all mixed
up, "I...I think they put him in a hole!" Dart thinks, "So much for
that plan..." He agrees no secrets. Dart looks at her with a fist, "Tell
me your plan, PeióLar...it's time for war!" |
