PRELUDE TO DOORWAR 2óDARKNESS SETTLING: Elves shoot arrows at humans who try to climb
ladders up to the cliffs toward Sorrow's end. Some throw rocks. Windstone kicks a
human off a ladder. They must buy time for the others. Windstone sends Shashen back
to warn Savah (again?). He cries real thick tears, "Make them pay dearly..."
A spear hits the chest of a black haired elf in lemon green tunic. Another, a blond
falls bloody before a bare chested green loin cloth wearing brown haired elf, a redheaded
elf sitting and kneeling near the body. Savah talks to the palace and how she and
the rootless ones found it in the burning waste. Savah tells her little one that
she will always be here with Yurek. Shashen wipes his tears. Bailon looks in the
tunnel for Thuggop, encountering barechested men with ties around their heads, tied
to buckets of stones inside. Thuggop is digging through, he and his slave boy sweating.
He makes a crack in the wall so they can see through a hole. Savah orders the children
to go...all are in the tunnel now. A little yellowówhite haired barechested elf boy
is with Ahdri and Savah in dark blue thong with lite blue trim. Also there is a brown
haired elf boy, a bit taller, with blue shorts and purple belt, and short cut top
with a neck rectangle and a rectangle below that, both revealing skin. He also wears
a blue headband with purple circles around it. Ahdri is called Daughter of Memory
by Mother of Memory Savah, who tells her to teach them all she has taught her. Newstar
arrives with the monk. Savah tells her to never forget the strength that howls in
her blood. Savah wants to be alone for a little while. In forevergreen, in skimpy
darkness, naked Jethel teases Suntop from below the water, not cold at all. Jethel
looks up at Suntop's feet, "MMMMMMMM!" He surfaces and tells Suntop who
calls him Jethy he is not cold. Suntop has his vest off but doesn't want to come
in. His mind is all muddy. Chot, his shirt off, arrives, telling him to talk plain,
"You're mad at someone, isn't that right?" Jethy thinks it is Dart Suntop
is mad at. Suntop tells them he can fix Door. Chot tells him to forget it, calling
Door a sour old rotóroot, "You'd have better luck joining with a foam mouthed
cave bear." Suntop can get into his head and find out what is wrong." Jethel
floats on his back, his face, nipples, chest and belly out of the greenóblue shiny
water as he spits up a watershoot from his mouth, "Spooo, he's just nasty!"
Chot eats an apple, "Listen to the water bug. For once, he's right. Sometimes
you can't fix inside people. They're just bad. Or maybe they don't even know they're
bad." Suntop folds his hands, "But I can help!" Chot drools, "Grrrr!
Look, leave it alone! All right!?" Suntop asks, "But why?" Chot is
at a loss for words and points, "Because I don't want you to get hurt...dungóforóbrains..!"
Suntop looks at him, innocently, "You...you really care?!" Chot moves to
elbow him, Hrrrr...hay!" Suntop ducks as Jethel giggles. Savah (with her head
piece off for once and with long brown hair) asks that Ahdri begin again with the
little palace. A preserver floats near Ahdri, who has tried to convince Savah to
go with them. Bailon fires an arrow into Savah's left arm. A blue haired human boy
lookshorrified. Ahdri takes the little palace and orders Newstar to take Savah to
the tunnel. Thuggop orders the humans to follow Ahdri and tells them to kill her,
seeing she has the palace. A white haired, green head band wearing elf boy with no
shirt on helps get Savah into the tunnel with the monk and Newstar. The elves bring
down the front of the tunnel, blocking the humans from getting in. A Preserver follows
Ahdri onto a rock bridge over a canyonóóthe Bridge of Destiny. Thuggop wonders if
only half of what he heard Two Edge say about that palace is true...he wants it.
Bailon tells the humans they don't need Thuggop any more. Thuggop follows Ahdri onto
the bridge. A sandy haired archer is ordered by him to arrow Ahdri. The archer smiles
a close lipped, wry smile and fires. An arrow goes into her back and out her mid
chest. She manages to kkrrraaakkk the bridge so that Thuggop cannot get the palace.
Thuggop falls off the bridge to his death. Ahdri puts the palace into the rock wall
behind the star rock and closes the rock wall up. Savah tells a blue haired barechested
elf boy that Ahdri is gone from her...from all of them. A blond girl elf listens.
A blond blue collared elf boy, bare stomach, blue belt, and green thong is near her,
too. The hole the humans dug begins to close up. All the humans but Bailon jump into
it. It closes up with them in it but leaves Bailon alone in the center...trapped.
