They see a black shape. Water is coming in and the Water Leaf starts to come apart. Jethel tells Chot to hold onto something that will float...like supplies. Chot doesn't care about supplies, "What good are supplies if we're all dead!!" A storm hits. In long blue loin cloth, Windkin stands in the rain on top the monument, his eyes closed, his right ankle clamped by a yellow chain. Inside, the two human boys with long black hair look at the chain, sadly, knowing the Sky Spirit is so sad and that he only wishes to be free. They think being tethered would be unbearable. Door was dreaming of a tall elfin woman with long black hair. Land is spotted by Dart's group, a giant toad with fangs leaps out and sends them all flying in different directions. It eats a wolf. Yun gets Dart to shore. Chot points the way for Shenshen, who calls for Suntop. Willowsnap thinks he sees Windkin. It is someone wearing Windkin's outfit. Willowsnap buggers his nose and yells when he finds out it is not Windkin. The boy, made like an elf but human, orders the human boys with him to kill "forest demon." One brown haired, blue eyed bare chested human boy in loin cloth grabs it, telling them it is hard. Willowsnap fires web into his face and wraps him up to his belly. There are more boys with the human "elf" who wear loin cloths and crisscrossed ropeñcloths tied around their neck and underarms. The elf human tells them to leave the boy that is wrapped up. He is sat down, another boy with long sandy hair thinks, "Sorry..." Chot finds land and passes out. Shirt open, Suntop wanders in the forest, "Oh mother, do you still recall your eye's first drink of trees so tall? till then unseen. And father, was the Holt like this? Green growing...do you ever miss what might have been?" Suntop thinks calm thoughts, a snake wraps around his neck and squirrels climb on him, one on his head. Jethel, no shirt, purple baggy pants, blue loin thong hanging downñlined with red, finds him. Shenshen, above Chot when he wakes, nags him about Suntop being closest to him in the water. She nags on until he tells her to shut up. She says the children are lost and...they are above on a cliff near trees and tells them so. Suntop adds, "And we're not children!" Suntop tells Shenshen Chot is his friend. Chot makes himself leader until they find Dart. Kimo and Yun are also missing. No one listens to this and go a different way from what he ordered.
